Steven P. White

President/CEO

  • Mr. White is a 25 year veteran of the Retail Food industry, with both US and International experience. Mr. White’s food experience has focused on building high-value Retail brands that incorporate quality and functionality while bringing superior products to consumers – embracing current market trends such as market-specific package sizes, “clean label” products and custom product development.  Previous accomplishments in this field include the building of Bear Creek Country Kitchens into the fastest growing dry soup brand in the United States – with sales reaching $54,000,000 over a 10 year period.   Additionally, Mr. White has overseen the development and licensing of Angel Star Nutrition both domestically and internationally, demonstrating an ability to successfully navigate governmental regulation as well as a tenacity to persevere and stay the course – sometimes over years – to achieve where others fail.

Brian L Twede

Marketing and Branding

  • Mr. Twede has 44 years of experience in the branding and marketing aspects of many companies. He has created three companies in the food industry in the past 11 years that have experienced excellent growth and market share. His engineering and advertising background make him a unique talent who can not only create a new brand, but can also innovate custom equipment and procedures to assure success from day one. He created Choice Foods in 2006- a $24 million brand today, Thunder Mountain Minerals- with 5000% growth in the first year, and Ready Supply Foods- a successful emergency preparedness food company recently sold to it’s new owner.

M. Lynn Chatterton

Regulatory Compliance

  • Mr. Chatterton will manage Angel Star’s regulatory affairs both domestically and Internationally. He received his M.A. from the University of Utah and has had over 40 years’ experience in multiple facets of the food industry. From his twenty years retail grocery management experience, came the skills necessary to advise fledgling companies like Kodiak Cakes, a national brand hotcake, syrup and muffin manufacturer, and to spearhead the retail redesign of seasoned entities such as Augason Farms, a $60 MM dollar food storage company.

Dane Clark

Corporate Financial Officer

  • Mr. Clark started his career in the retail space, operating a family owned grocery store for over 10 years. Following, Mr. Clark obtained a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah and spent 5 years at Ernst & Young, servicing a wide variety of clients. His experience as an Accounting/Finance executive has been achieved through serving as Corporate Controller to 4 different companies in industries such as: manufacturing, retail and technology. The most recent being a hyper-growth technology company, with multiple international and domestic locations. He has worked with small to mid-size companies, with annual revenues ranging from $5M to $75M. Mr. Clark has worked with CEO’s and Board Members to manage weekly cashflow and operating expenses during hyper growth and through company down turns. Additionally, Mr. Clark has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant for over 10 years.

Mr. Chris Richard

Facilities & Equipment

  • Mr. Richard started his career in the food industry in 1997 with Bear Creek after retiring from his heavy equipment business and 25 years in the construction industry. As Facilities Manager for Bear Creek his accomplishments were as follows: Design, procurement and installation of all automated production lines for the manufacturing of dry soup; the CAD design of a 168,000 square foot warehouse and manufacturing facility; and acting as project manager for the construction of the new manufacturing facility. Mr. Richard has completed design, layout and cost estimates for the new Angel Star facility. 

Mr. James Braun

Plant Manager

  • Mr. Braun also began his career in the food industry with Bear Creek in 1997 where he served as plant manager overseeing 17 production lines and a staff of 200+ employees.  Mr. Braun has since consulted for and directed three food manufacturing facilities in Utah, all in excess of $30,000,000 annual revenues.  Mr. Braun has maintained food safety plant ratings in excess of 95% at every facility where he has worked.  Additionally, Mr. Braun carries various OSHA and HACCP certificates.
